"The Biggest Pre-University Competition in Singapore"
With the aim of fostering a strong and cohesive entrepreneurial scene amongst tertiary schools in Singapore, ideaSLAM! 2021 is a joint pitching competition open to all Polytechnics & ITEs.
Students gain exposure to real-life pitching models, professional mentoring, and opportunities to develop their ideas into Singapore's next striving business. ideaSLAM! 2021 is proudly organized by Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Sandbox Advocates.
About
ideaSLAM! 2021
Objectives & Goals
The objective of this event is to nurture an entrepreneurial mindset amongst students through the intrinsically fun attribute of the competition. The event will also:

Forge better relationships amongst Entrepreneurship clubs/CCA’s across polytechnics and JCs, paving the way for future collaboration between polytechnics, ITEs, JCs, and external sponsors.

Expose students to real and credible experiences of the vibrant entrepreneurship scene that will help propel potential young minds to learn from successful business owners.

Create awareness of Entrepreneurship clubs across all schools and further promote entrepreneurship as a viable and realistic career path for students.
Themes
Theme 1: Digitalisation
This theme will challenge participants to adopt the latest technology such as AI, Blockchain, Fintech, and cloud computing to improve the efficiency of businesses or creating a silicon valley start-up of their own.
Theme 2: Social Good
This theme will challenge participants to walk the path less traveled, consider the needs of current society in order to devise ways in which people can be served for the better.

The themes and judging criteria are standardized across the schools in the internal shortlisting rounds of the pitching competition and will carry on into the finale round.

Mentors

youths through the intrinsically fun attribute of the competition."
With refined experience and industrial knowledge, mentors of ideaSLAM! 2020 will be providing guidance to all participants with their expertise and skillsets.

Participants will be able to seek advice from these mentors with their business ideas during the competition.

Singapore is one of the world's most established trading hubs but also home to one of Asia’s most diverse entrepreneurial hotspots. The Government actively looks to support the establishment of innovation and entrepreneurship within Singapore, inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs to come.
As an advocate of Singapore's I&E culture, we introduce you to ideaSLAM's, Entrepreneurs of Singapore series. The series showcases some of Singapore’s most innovative and successful entrepreneurs, shedding insightful information and insights with hopes of inspiring anyone embarking on their entrepreneurial journey.
